The restaurant "Chez Batista" with its thatched roofing and sand-covered flooring is the most rustic and popular one on the island and it is directly on the beautiful beach of Takamaka in the south of Mahé. Its natural atmosphere and local architecture make it one of the most photographed locations. You literally sit with “your feet in the sand”. This attention to detail has even been adapted to the hotel restrooms.

It is famous for its fresh grilled fish and lobsters and various other traditional delicacies. No doubt, guests will want to go many times. It is very well-known for its Sunday buffets that sit unchallenged in cost, quality, and variety. It is in itself an event, a chance to mingle with the locals.

The bar which is no doubt one of the nicest in the country is always open, serving ice cold beers, freshly prepared local tropical fruit juices and liquors, cocktails, fresh coconuts, etc. The restaurant has welcomed many visits from international and local celebrities and dignitaries.

The restaurant is closed for dinner on Sundays.
